About The Thruway League
The Thruway League is a true premier league in central and western New York, implementing promotion and relegation for its member teams. The Thruway League serves as New York State West Youth Soccer’s qualifying league for the US Youth Soccer National Championship Series.
The Thruway League's fall season runs from the beginning of September through the end of October, fielding 9U-19U teams. The spring season offers competitive games for 11U through 19U boys and girls. The league's players play on more than 260 fields throughout the region.
As part of the USYS concussion protocols, the Thruway League actively works to transform the culture of concussions. To encourage the safety of youth players, the Thruway League encourages free online training for players, their families, and coaches. USYS offers concussion resources from the CDC, including training for coaches, players, and families.
